Square Trellis
Square panels are great and look fantastic. Smaller squares (eg 20x20, 30x30 etc) have become more modern and make a very rigid panel – which arguably will last longer than an Oriental panel simply because there is more wood and more connections. Because of this they tend to be more expensive, normally around 1.4 – 2x the price of Oriental depending on the size of squares. If long lasting solid panels are what you are after with good privacy then these are a great option. Larger squares (eg 45x45, 50x50 or greater) tend to be more inline with Oriental pricing, and can be a great look to match existing features.

We stock 2 battens:
Our standard batten is approximately 30mm x 9mm – it is a good quality, smooth batten however it does have some light defects and non-uniformity. It is a great product for trellis fencing and 95% of the time this is what we use. The actual dimensions are 29mm x 9mm when we are asked to be specific.
Our premium batten is 38mm although it can often be measured as 36mm. This batten carries a 10% premium on price.

With each of our designs there is the ability to have the product framed or unframed. If you are needing a frame around the product (we refer to the framing as u-mould, framing, or capping) then it is far more efficient to include it in your build as it will save you time and money.
We only stock 1 frame which is 45cm x 45cm and is a nice, smooth, high quality timber. Although it can have some light defects it is what we consider a great timber for what we do.

We only use 45cm x 45cm framing as it has a good structure and “meat” so that we can screw into it. And it has the best durability.
Every trellis panel is custom made and we work with a +/- 3mm tolerance.
